  • Built and led game studio at Amazon, from idea to prototype to 80 person team

  • Worked eleven years at Valve, from small game company to industry leader, worked on all games from Half-Life 2 to Portal 2, plus Steam. Franchise lead on Left 4 Dead for 5 years, but always remained hands-on

  • Early adopter of Agile at the close of the 90’s, co-founding a non-game venture backed start-up with an Agile-first approach in 2000

  • Five years at Looking Glass Studios, from Flight Unlimited to Thief 2 and System Shock. Designed and built the Thief stealth AI, the core of the gameplay

  • First computer: Minivac 601 ;-P
